File extension MOFF might be familiar to Sony Camcorder users. Many Internet forums are jammed with the queries related to the File Extension MOFF. MOFF files are created by Sony’s Picture Motion Browser application and are used to help index any generated video files. I have read many threads in forums where people have queried that why Windows installed in their computer is unable to open files with File Extension MOFF. Most of them have problems with their windows registry. Registry of windows becomes contaminated by the stale information no longer need by the windows. This makes the registry corrupt and cause error while identifying and opening various file extensions. The best solution you will find is to download a free registry cleaner and fix the errors in the registry. If you have Sony camcorder and you are confronted with similar problems, you can follow this solution.

Those who know registry editing can do wonders with Windows OS. Most of the tricks and tips available for Windows XP or Vista on the internet are based on changing the registry values. Actually to know how the registry in Windows are organized you need to know about the structure of Windows Registry. There are five registry hives each with their own importance. Whenever you add or remove any software from your system these registry values are changed. After long period of use your registry stores remnants of removed drivers or software which may cause malfunctioning of your PC. Some of its impacts could be system crash, not recognizing some of the file extensions such as File Extension Torrent, corrupt drivers etc. Problem with File Extension Torrent is quite frequently observed outcome due to corrupt registry.

If you are already dealing with this problem and your windows can not open File Extension Torrent i.e. .tor or .torrent used for peer to peer networking, you can download Driver Detective for free and update all your drivers.

There are two kinds of hosting – free hosting and premium hosting i.e. paid hosting. You can either opt for free hosting that is usually supported with banners and pop ups put by the web hosting company on your website, or may opt to get paid web hosting, which gives you complete control over your site contents. There are certain key things which you should consider before you select paid web hosting server on which you want to host your website data.

These key points includes following:

1. Hosting space: You should choose the webhosting server which provides unlimited web space for your website.

2. Site Bandwidth and Uptime assurance: Before you go for any web hosting site you should check the available site bandwidth. This is very crucial since high site bandwidth means site will not slow down in case of heavy traffic. Moreover your web hosting company should assure you of atleast 99.9% Network Uptime.

3. Number of Domains: You should select the web hosting server which allows you to host maximum websites. Many web hosting sites such as JustHost.com and HostMonster.com provide unlimited domain hosting. These hosting sites have been rated as the top two hosting servers by web hosting choice. WebHostingChoice.com is a well known guide to popular web hosting sites.

4. Databases: Usually now days hosting companies offer unlimited MySql databases.

5. Email Accounts: If you want to have Pop/Imap Email Accounts in your websites for eg. email@yourdomain.com, you should opt the server providing unlimited email accounts.

6. Price and support: Price of the hosting server is also crucial. However you should not compromise with quality of service for saving few bucks. There are lucrative offers if are willing to pay for few years in advance. Websites set time and support is very important. Some popular sites such as JustHost.com offers anytime money back guarantee.

You can do detaied comparison of the services offered by top 10 webhosting servers at WebHostingChoice.com. You can also read the user reviews for each hosting companies. I used GoDaddy.com to purchase my domain Proxy Lib though not hosted on it.

Those who are having Apple’s iPod might have faced the problem with File Extension ITHMB designed by Apple for thumbnail view of images. Sometimes Windows is unable to open File Extension ITHMB. Actually, the problem is not your image format but the unclean or corrupt registry files. Registry is one of the most interesting and important component of Windows Operating system. Registry contains data and files such as personal settings for the computer, the way data is stored and application programs run. The drivers for your hardware can also be stored there. After some constant use of computer such as downloading new software, add new hardware, delete software, applications and programs, the registry can become clogged with useless files because all these operations needs registry access. It can also be congested with useless or unwanted duplicate files which may result in slowing down the PC. All these things may also result in not recognizing the File Extension ITHMB .

For this problem I would recommend you software called RegCure which is an award winning registry cleaner. It assures you that your computer can open .ITHMB File Format and is running at peak performance. You can use it in Vista too. You can download it for free from website FileExtensionITHMB.com.

Usually large quantity of data accumulates on the hard disk over time. These data may be digital photos, videos and MP3 songs and lots of other files with mysterious file names and extensions. Generally these are leftovers of old programs that were improperly uninstalled, temporary internet files from surfing session, and left over for music or videos editing sessions. All this not only devours lots of valuable storage space, but also causes system backups or defragmenting to take forever. So you must periodically do some spring cleaning. This would include inspection of many different folders and looking for particular files that are not needed. Of course, it is not an easy task doing this manually. The best known remedy to this is to use tools like HDCleaner or CCleaner (Crap Cleaner).

HDCleaner thoroughly searches the hard disk for potential memory hoggers and DLL files, duplicates as well known links, and then eliminates these. I have used this tool and it does its job fairly well.

To use HDCleaner, select ‘Clean hard drive | Go to’. Select all drives first within ‘Remove unnecessary files’ and confirm the same with ‘Search hard disk’. The tool tells you about all the useless files. It displays all files that are can be removed in the next window. You can delete those files and empty the Recycle bin. Though searching for the duplicates can be time consuming, but you can search selectively under ‘Options’. For instance, you can choose to search for duplicates by instructing HDCleaner to compare only the names or sizes of files. Once you have deleted the dispensable DLL files and incoherent links, the JKDefrag tool comes into play (http://www.emro.nl/freeware). This tool defragments your hard disk and rearranges the data on it.

Have you ever tried to format your USB drive or Pen drive to Format using NTFS format in Windows? Whenever you format your USB drive you do not get the option to format it with NTFS. You will get only FAT and FAT32. Even if you ask your dealers they would tell you that formatting a USB drive in NTFS is not possible. But today I will tell you how you can format it through NTFS file system. Actually I came to know about this method from a well known tech-magazine Digit October 2008 edition. I used this method to format my USB drive of Transcend (2 GB).

So here are the steps :-
Step 1: Open Windows XP/Vista/2000 (may not work with guest account and with Windows 95/98).
Step 2: Connect your Pen Drive to the USB port.
Step 3: Go to My Computer -> H: (where H: is your Pen drive)
Step 4: Right click on H: and select “Properties”.
Step 5: Select “Hardware” from tabbed menu and go to its “Properties”.
Step 6: Select “Optimize For Performance” (The default is “Optimize for Quick Removal”).
Apply and click OK.
